Green Cross Australia is establishing a big name for our ourselves in the digital space. Through an engaged network of websites launched since 2008 and a growing group of community, business and government partners on the ground, we have reached over 550,000 Australians, inspiring them to respond to the humanitarian and environmental challenges ahead.
In the early days, a handful of people working from a small office in Brisbane City Hall began to reach out to the emergency response and climate adaptation communities with ideas about how digital outreach could inspire and empower education and behaviour change.
We were lucky to connect with our core web development partners Zeroseven, a Brisbane based company which has become part of the Green Cross Australia family. Funded by government and corporate grants together with public donations and the support of philanthropy, our networked model is supported by some of Australia's most important scientific researchers, corporate strategists and community leaders.
It's amazing to consider what we have achieved in such a short
time.
