Protecting Queensland, has been honoured with an
Outstanding Achievement award at the 2012 Interactive Media Awards.
Green Cross Australia, along with our web developers ZeroSeven, won the
award in the "Advocacy" category.
Harden Up - Protecting Queensland is a website developed by
people who are passionate about community safety and weather
awareness. The website is designed to help Queenslanders understand
the history of severe weather in their own suburb and across the
state.
Harden Up has an easy to use interactive tool that allows
Queenslanders to tailor make a preparedness plan to suit their
individual needs. Parameters such as weather hazards faced, house
occupants and dwelling type are used to create a series of
practical steps to prepare people, homes and communites for extreme
weather events.
