Bayside Bulletin on 3 Countries 3 Stories video conference

CLEVELAND District State High School students have already made good use of their new video conferencing room and are welcoming other schools to use their state-of-the-art facilities.

Year 5 students from Milton State School were the first to jump on board with the offer and participated in the Three nations, Three stories: Shooting for the Stars video conference on Wednesday, October 26.

Ranger Stacey from Channel Ten's Totally Wild children's show was a guest speaker and gave students an insight in to how animals bounce back from natural disasters.

The students spoke to Year 5 students from Japan and New Zealand who were affected by earthquakes this year.

Polycom, in conjunction with Green Cross Australia, hosted the virtual event as part of the Green Lane Diary initiative, a curriculum-based education tool that teaches children about the environment and sustainability.
