Radio National's Fran Kelly: School children track their environmental impact

Thirteen thousand students across Australia are about to record their daily impact on the environment in a project called Green Lane Diaries.

 

The project is the brainchild of a group called Green Cross Australia, founded by former president of the Soviet Union, Mikhail Gorbachev.
