Business Resilience Roundtable Breakfast

Is your business ready?


The Queensland Government's Get Ready program is reaching out to businesses in partnership with Green Cross Australia's new Business Adaptation Network.

 

On October 16 at QUT in Brisbane, 200 business leaders will gather for a breakfast discussion about the growing importance of resilience in the world of business.

 

Some of Queensland's most influencial business leaders will lead this eye-­opening discussion, moderated by Green Cross Australia with members of the Business Adaptation Network.


This by invitation event will create a dialogue with vital stakeholders about business what the property, agriculture, retail, energy, banking, insurance and infrastructure sectors are planning to prepare, respond and recover from this year's major weather events as we move into bushfire, cyclone and storm season.

 

This is the first whole of government approach to business resilience that Green Cross Australia is aware of. A true thought and practice leadership initiative led by the Department of Community Safety.


Speakers  include:

  • Minister Crisafulli  -­  Minister for Local Government, Community Recovery and Resilience
  • Minister Dempsey  -­  Minister for Police and Community Safety
  • Minister  Powell  -­  Minister for Environment and Heritage Protection
  • Minister  Stuckey  -­  Minister for Tourism, Major Events, Small Business and the Commonwealth Games

Panel discussion moderated by Green Cross Australia:

A panel of business leaders from across diverse sectors will explore readiness in dialogue with an audience of 200 Queensland businesses who understand the growing importance of disaster resilience.
